When people ask the chatbot news questions, it now pulls from partners like CNN, Fox News, Le Monde, USA Today, and others, surfacing links that point users back to publishers’ sites. Meta says this approach will “help partners reach new audiences,” a notable shift given that the company moved away from traditional News tab distribution just two years ago. Meta is swinging back toward news after previously stopping publisher payments.
