How 433 Investors Unlocked 400X Return Potential
Institutional investors back startups to unlock outsized returns. Regular investors have to wait. But not anymore. Thanks to regulatory updates, some companies are doing things differently.
Take Revolut. In 2016, 433 regular people invested an average of $2,730. Today? They got a 400X buyout offer from the company, as Revolut’s valuation increased 89,900% in the same timeframe.
Founded by a former Zillow exec, Pacaso’s co-ownership tech reshapes the $1.3T vacation home market. They’ve earned $110M+ in gross profit to date, including 41% YoY growth in 2024 alone. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.
The same institutional investors behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay backed Pacaso. And you can join them. But not for long. Pacaso’s investment opportunity ends September 18.

How AI is rewriting Hollywood
OpenAI is backing the first animated feature film created largely with AI tools. The project, called Critterz, is led by director Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) and produced by Spider-Verse’s Lord and Miller. Instead of relying solely on traditional animation pipelines, the team is using AI models to generate storyboards, visual effects, and even early character concepts. The film will still have human animators and writers at its core, but the workflow shifts dramatically toward AI-assisted production, cutting both time and costs.
As reported by the Wall Street Journal, OpenAI isn’t just funding the movie—it’s also providing custom versions of its models for the filmmakers. CEO Sam Altman called the project “a test of how AI can expand the creative process, not replace it.” Meanwhile, Phil Lord noted that AI lets the team “imagine worlds we couldn’t otherwise afford to build,” raising both excitement and tension in Hollywood.
This move signals a turning point for storytelling. If AI can make a full-length film viable at a fraction of the usual budget, the ripple effects on entertainment, jobs, and creative risk-taking could be massive. For anyone building a career, it’s another reminder that the most valuable skill is learning to direct, not compete with, intelligent machines.

What We Think About It:
This marks a significant milestone in AI moving beyond productivity apps into cultural production. The involvement of high-profile filmmakers makes it hard to dismiss as a gimmick. It will likely trigger new debates in Hollywood over labor, copyright, and artistic originality.
What You Can Do Right Now:
Experiment with AI storytelling tools – Apps like Runway, Pika, or even ChatGPT with image tools can help you try making short clips or storyboards. You don’t need to be a filmmaker to test creative ideas.
Think about your own workflows – Just like filmmakers are using AI to speed up years of production, consider what parts of your work or hobbies could be done faster with AI support.
Watch how costs shift – As AI lowers the barrier to entry for animation, the same trend is happening in writing, design, and even coding. Stay curious about how this might affect your industry.
Sharpen your creativity, not just your efficiency – AI makes it easy to generate content quickly, but what will stand out is your unique taste, perspective, and ability to edit. That’s the real value humans bring.
