🚨 Breaking AI News 🚨

The Department of Justice filed a lawsuit against SpaceX alleging routine, widespread discriminatory hiring practices against refugees and asylees over several years.
The DOJ claims SpaceX discouraged applications, automatically rejected candidates based on citizenship status, and cited ITAR export control laws to justify only hiring U.S. citizens and permanent residents, even though regulations do not actually impose those restrictions.
The lawsuit aims to hold SpaceX accountable for illegal employment discrimination and allow refugees and asylees to fairly compete for jobs.

The Air Force is seeking billions in budget approval to procure up to 2,000 AI-controlled Valkyrie aircraft. These aircraft would be unmanned and designed to act as robotic wingmen for human pilots in high-risk scenarios.
While the Valkyrie program has military support, its advancement towards lethal autonomous drones raises large ethical concerns. Critics say outsourcing lethal decisions to algorithms is morally unacceptable and dangerous.
However, the Air Force’s ultimate goal is to have futuristic unmanned aerial combat at scale where no soldiers are at risk, not yet but we are heading in that direction.

Daily Definition
AI Copilot
An AI Copilot refers to an AI system designed to assist and complement human capabilities in a task, much like a co-pilot in aviation supports the main pilot. In various contexts, it could mean a software that provides coding suggestions, a virtual assistant in a car offering navigation tips, or even a tool that recommends the next best action in a workflow. The idea is to harness AI's capabilities not as a replacement but as a valuable ally, enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and productivity. It's like having an expert sidekick, always ready to give insights or lend a helping hand based on data-driven intelligence.
