🚨 Breaking AI News
According to CNN, Some colleges have rapidly shifted from banning AI tools like ChatGPT to actively encouraging their careful use in academics. This is not the case for my school 😂.
Early bans came from concerns about cheating and inaccuracies, but professors now fear ignoring AI will leave students unprepared to enter an AI-powered workforce.
Some professors now transparently incorporate ChatGPT into assignments to develop proficiency. “Prompt engineering is an emerging skill set being taught on campuses.”

The U.S. and China are accelerating research to integrate AI into their militaries, with a focus on autonomous weapons and using AI to analyze satellite imagery for targeting.
In exercises, the U.S. and allies have tested AI-enabled drone swarms that can locate and simulate attacking targets without human input. A recent study found the U.S. and China spend billions on military AI like autonomous vehicles and intelligence analysis.
Concerns exist about unintended escalation from AI weapons. The U.S. has tried engaging China on responsible AI use, but with little progress so far.
