Big Takeaway: Ilya Sutskever (the co-founder responsible for this chaos) flipped to support Altman🤯, but two more board members must change their minds for Sam Altman and Greg Brockman to return.
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella confirmed reports that only two OpenAI board members need to flip to reinstate Altman.
Ilya Tweeted: "I deeply regret my participation in the board's actions. I never intended to harm OpenAI. I love everything we've built together, and I will do everything I can to reunite the company."
738 out of 778 OpenAI employees signed a letter demanding the board resign or they would all quit.
It has recently come out that the current CEO, Emmett Shear, was OpenAI’s third pick. Nat Friedman, the former CEO of GitHub, and Alexander Wang, the current CEO of Scale AI, were both ahead of Emmett, but they declined the offer.
