Hi AI Futurists,
Perplexity just launched Perplexity Health, a set of connectors that plug directly into your Apple Health, wearables, lab results, and even your medical records to deliver personalized health answers powered by AI. It's not a search engine for WebMD articles. It's an answer engine that actually knows your body. Let's take a look.

Take Control of Your APIs with Postman API Catalog

Do you know how many APIs your organization actually runs — and who owns them?
As teams build more services, APIs spread across repositories, gateways, and environments. Without a central view, it becomes difficult to track ownership, monitor health, and enforce standards.
Postman’s API Catalog gives you a real-time, centralized view of every API across your organization. Discover APIs across workspaces and infrastructure, see ownership and metadata, track performance and governance signals, and quickly understand how services connect.
Watch the demo to see how API Catalog helps you bring visibility, control, and confidence to your entire API ecosystem.

Perplexity Health Turns Your Scattered Medical Data Into Actual Answers

You connect your health apps, wearables, and medical records to Perplexity, and suddenly your AI assistant knows your body. Ask about your resting heart rate and it doesn't just Google it. It pulls from your Apple Health data, your Fitbit, your EHR from over 1.7 million care providers, and peer-reviewed research. All at once. Responses come with citations linked to clinical guidelines, plus guidance on when you should actually talk to a real doctor.
The b.well Connected Health partnership is what makes this more than a fancy wearable dashboard. It gives Perplexity access to standardized medical records from major hospital systems, not just your step count. That means your question about a weird lab result can factor in your full cardiac history, recent bloodwork, and current medications. That's a genuinely useful thing that didn't exist a week ago.
On the privacy front, Perplexity says your health data is encrypted, never used to train models, and never sold. You can delete it anytime. Whether people will actually trust an AI company with their medical records is the real question, but the product is thoughtful about it. Rolling out to Pro and Max users in the US first, with integrations for OURA, Function, and others coming soon.
Takeaways at a Glance:
Connects to Apple Health, Fitbit, Ultrahuman, Withings, Clue, and EHR from 1.7M+ providers
Responses grounded in clinical guidelines and peer-reviewed research with source citations
Partnership with b.well brings standardized medical records into AI search
Health data encrypted, never used for training, never sold to third parties
Focuses on speed and experimentation over final polish
What We Think About It:
This is the most ambitious consumer health AI move we've seen. Connecting your Fitbit is one thing. Pulling in actual hospital records is a completely different game. The direction is right: your health info should be personalized and accessible, not buried behind provider portals.
What You Can Do Right Now:
If you're on Perplexity Pro or Max, connect your Apple Health and see what it pulls up. If you work in healthtech, pay attention: the interface between patients and their own data is being rebuilt by AI companies, not hospitals.
