Big Takeaway: OpenAI and Axel Springer signed a content sharing deal for ChatGPT to access articles from Axel Springer publications like Business Insider and Politico.
ChatGPT can pull information to respond to user prompts and will provide article links for transparency.
Axel Springer gets to build with OpenAI technology and create new revenue opportunities.
ChatGPT has access to some premium and paywalled Business Insider content, but not paid Politico Pro stories. Other publications like NYT, BBC, and CNN blocked OpenAI crawlers over copyright concerns, but some want to utilize the technology.

Big Takeaway: Google announced MedLM, a family of AI models fine-tuned for healthcare tasks to aid workers. Based on Med-PaLM 2, which performs at expert level on medical exam questions.
Two MedLM models available: a larger one for complex tasks and a smaller, fine-tunable one for scaling across tasks.
Early testers include HCA Healthcare using models to help physicians draft patient notes and BenchSci building models into an evidence engine to identify biomarkers.
