Big Takeaway: NVIDIA is launching a new professional certification in generative AI to help developers and professionals prove their expertise in this rapidly evolving field.
The goal of the certification is to close the skills gap in generative AI and make it easier for employees to use the technology effectively.
This certification gives two associate-level certifications that focus on multimodal workflow skills and large language models.
The certification will be available starting with the GTC event, with in-person attendees having access to recommended training for the certification exam. GTC 2024 is scheduled for March 18th–21st in San Jose, California, being the first in-person GTC event in five years.

Big Takeaway: Google is restricting its Gemini AI chatbot from answering election-related questions in countries where elections are taking place this year.
The update, which is designed to prevent the weaponization of generative AI and the spread of inaccurate or misleading information, is already live in the U.S. and is rolling out in India and other major countries with upcoming elections.
When asked about political parties, candidates, or politicians, Gemini now responds with a preset message directing users to try Google Search instead.
Google stated its commitment to only giving “high-quality” information regarding election-related questions but those promises will need to be proven after their issues with their AI image generator failing to depict white people.
