The Edge: Microsoft AI researchers accidentally leaked 38 terabytes of sensitive corporate data. That is equal to 19 BILLION pages of text.
The exposed data included personal computer backups, passwords, secret keys, and thousands of internal Microsoft Teams messages
But according to Microsoft, “no customer data was exposed and no other services were impacted.”
A shared access signature token granted overly permissive access rather than read-only access as intended. The data has been exposed since 2020
