Daily Definition
Law of Diminishing Returns
This principle posits that in a production process, as one input (like labor or capital) is increased while others remain constant, there will be a point beyond which each additional unit of that input yields progressively smaller increases in output. It means that if you keep adding more of one resource while keeping others fixed, the benefits or production gains from that added resource will eventually decline. This law is crucial in understanding production efficiency, resource allocation, and optimal output levels.
