Google announced several upcoming security enhancements to Google Workspace products like Gmail and Drive, leveraging AI in some cases.
Gmail will get enhanced controls to prevent inadvertent sharing of sensitive data.
Drive will get context-aware access controls based on criteria like device location.
Client-side encryption will be added to mobile Workspace apps so data is fully controlled by customers.
New capabilities will combine zero trust identity models with data loss prevention, using AI to automatically classify and apply controls to sensitive data.
