🚨 Breaking AI News

Google's CEO, Sundar Pichai expressed serious concerns about the potential threats posed by AI-generated deepfake content. So much so that he admitted to limiting Bard’s (Google’s AI) full potential. Link to an example of AI deepfake.
Pichai also pointed out the concerning "black box" phenomenon, where the researchers don't fully comprehend how their AI models generate outputs. This lack of knowledge could lead to unpredictable and dangerous results.
Despite his concerns, Pichai reaffirmed Google's commitment to acting responsibly in AI development by emphasizing the need for user feedback and safety measures.

Yesterday, Anthropic revealed Claude 2, their newest LLM, which will now power their chat experience. Anthropic is one of the leading companies in AI research and development and is backed by Google.
Claude 2 offers more interactive discussions, better coding skills, and enhanced mathematical and reasoning abilities. Perhaps the biggest selling point for Anthropic’s AI model is that it is capable of processing 100,000 tokens or 75,000 words, at once🤯
Claude AI can analyze and answer questions from books and scientific research papers, and it can process more than one document at a time! (Example) Anthropic is giving Open AI a run for their money. This is the perfect AI model for professionals; you can access it here.

Daily Definition
LLM or Large Language Model
'LLM,' which stands for 'Large Language Model,' refers to a type of AI model that specializes in processing human language. These models are 'large' due to the enormous amount of data they're trained on and the vast number of parameters they use. A parameter, in the context of an AI model, is a part of the model that's learned from historical training data.
These models are a significant breakthrough in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) - the branch of AI that deals with the interaction between computers and humans using natural language. LLMs can generate human-like text, answer questions, write essays, summarize texts, translate languages, and even generate Python code.
However, it's important to remember that while LLMs are highly sophisticated, they have their limitations. They don't 'understand' text in the way humans do and can sometimes generate incorrect or biased information. They are tools, and their effectiveness greatly depends on how they are used and guided by human intelligence.
