Former Zillow exec targets $1.3T

The top companies target big markets. Like Nvidia growing ~200% in 2024 on AI’s $214B tailwind. That’s why the same VCs behind Uber and Venmo also backed Pacaso. Created by a former Zillow exec, Pacaso’s co-ownership tech transforms a $1.3 trillion market. With $110M+ in gross profit to date, Pacaso just reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

Beyond hardware, the Pixel 10 makes AI the star.

Google’s upcoming Pixel 10 smartphone is shaping up to be more than just a hardware upgrade. It signals how the company is committing to AI as a core experience. Slated for release later this year, the Pixel 10 will feature on-device Gemini AI models, aiming to speed up performance and enhance privacy by keeping more processing local. Google’s VP of Devices and Services, Rick Osterloh, told CNBC the shift will let the phone ā€œfeel like it understands you betterā€ while using less cloud power.

The star of this rollout is Gemini Nano, Google's smallest AI model, designed to run directly on the phone. It powers new features like summarizing voice recordings and context-aware smart replies, offering a glimpse of more anticipatory computing. Google also teased that upcoming Gemini versions will be even more tightly integrated with Android, with developer access expected next year. Instead of competing on camera specs or battery life, smartphones are beginning to compete on how intelligent their AI systems are.

This AI-first direction also reflects a shift in Google's approach to privacy. By running more directly on-device, the phone can deliver smarter experiences without uploading personal data to the cloud.

As AI becomes more deeply embedded in everyday tools, the devices we use stop being passive. They begin acting more like collaborators, which may change how we work, focus, and trust technology.

Takeaways at a Glance:

  • Pixel 10 uses Gemini Nano, optimized for on-device AI processing

  • Features include AI summaries and context-aware smart replies

  • Gemini will be more integrated into Android, with APIs coming in 2026

  • Local AI means faster performance and improved privacy

  • Smartphone competition is shifting from hardware specs to AI capability

What We Think About It:

  • This is a strong signal of where mobile AI is headed. Google is turning Android into an AI-native platform. It’s likely to shift both developer priorities and user expectations.

What You Can Do Right Now:

  • With AI running right on your phone, things get quicker and more secure. Play around with tools that don’t need the cloud to deliver.
