Open AI and Meta get hit with yet another lawsuit, this time from authors Sarah Silverman and Christopher Golden over copyright infringement.
They claim that ChatGPT and Meta’s LLaMA models were trained on datasets obtained unlawfully from "shadow library" websites, which included their copyrighted works.
The lawsuit consists of six counts of different types of copyright violations. Do you think these conglomerates get their data legally or use their power to do as they please?
Meta's newly launched text-based platform, Threads, has gone crazy since releasing late last week. It took only 5 days for Threads to hit 100 million unique users, demolishing ChatGPT’s record.
Zuckerberg has even managed to outpace Twitter’s user engagement. Twitter's user traffic has reportedly decreased by 5% in the first two days of Threads being broadly available and is down 11% compared to the same period in 2022.
Elon's attorneys have already started the process of suing Meta, let’s see how yet another lawsuit plays out.

Think of it as a flowchart-like structure where each internal node represents a 'test' on an attribute or feature, each branch represents the outcome of that test, and each leaf node represents a class label or decision (the final output).
For example, let's imagine we have a decision tree for deciding whether to go out for a run. The first test might be "Is it raining?" If the answer is yes, the decision (leaf node) might be 'no run.' If no, the next test might be "Is it below freezing?" and so on. Each path from the root (the first test) to a leaf (a decision) represents a possible series of choices.
